Managua is the capital city of Nicaragua, located on the southwestern shore of Lake Managua (Lake Xolotlán).
It is known for being the largest city in Nicaragua because of it's population and geographic size.
Managua's geography consists of coasts on the Pacific Ocean, tropical savannahs, areas that go through the Sierras de Managua and continues onto wide plains that extend about 544km along Lake Managua. Managua also has famous beaches and lagoons that are popular with tourists.

Climate and Weather
Tropical Climate that has two seasons, dry and the raining season.
Dry season comes around January through June. There is rarely any rain and everything starts to dry out.
Rains come around June through July. Everything starts growing and the plants and trees turn green and start blossoming. In August and September, it often only rains for a short period of time once a day. It rains more in the east than in the west.
There are three temperature zones; In the lowlands, temperatures range between 72°F at night and 86°F in the daytime. Temperature can reach 100°F in May. The central part of the country is about 9°F cooler, and in the mountains in the north it’s about 18°F cooler.
